Considerations regarding Christening Gifts

When considering whether to give a christening gift, friends and family members should understand that they are not obligated to give a christening gift of any kind, other than their congratulations and well wishes. Due to the fact that many people have already given a gift of some kind at the baby shower or at the child’s birth, all but the godparents and closest family members may find it unnecessary to give another. Those who wish to give a christening gift should consider whether they want to give a personalized or traditional christening gift, or a more practical christening gift which the parents would find useful.
